Welcome

Hello and welcome to the home of the Everyday Heroes.  We've been away for a while, but we're back, with a new lineup and a soon to be completed album.  You can find all sorts of information about the band throughout these pages.  The site is receiving a minor overhaul, so bear with us, and new info will be updated shortly.  Until then, keep checking back and come out and see us at one of our shows!

Sorry we've been away, we've been booking a t on of shows.  As you already know, on Wednesday, August, 25th, we play at the Scarlet & Grey Cafe, with Darlington, Johnnie 3 & Rookie.  We will go on first, at 10PM, so get there early.  Speaking of early, we also play the Bernie's Underground Fest, on Saturday, August 28th.  The show is, all ages, and a day show, meaning the bands will go on between 2 and 9PM.  We should play about 4PM.  Also on the bill are: Sloth, Slowburn, Fun Junkies, Downtrodin & the FGDs.

We also began booking some out of town dates, thanks to Dan at WNYMusic.com.  The first  being in Buffalo, NY, at Mowhawk Place, on Friday, September 3rd, with our good friends Johnny Nobody, and the second at Merlin's, the following night, Saturday, September 4th, with some bands we don't know.  Hopefully we can play nice and make some friends.

We also recently rebooked the cancelled Club 202 show.  It will now be Friday, October 8th, at 10PM; and we will be playing with our friends House of  Dimes, from Kent, and Any December, from Buffalo, NY.  The following night, Saturday, October 9th, we head up to Kent, to play the Outpost, with the same bands.  At some point, both House of Dimes and ourselves will go up to Buffalo, together, to play a show there and also one in Rochester, NY.

We'll keep you informed...as long as you keep checking back.

BLACK CAT MUSIC - R. I. P.

Due to the unfortunate, and untimely,  break up of Black Cat Music, the show at Club 202, on Wednesday, August 11th, has been cancelled.  Sorry for the late notice, but we just found out.  If you were planning to come out, hopefully you can check out one of our other upcoming shows.  The first is taking place at the Scarlet & Grey Cafe, on August 25th, with Darlington & Rookie.  We open up the show, so get there right at 10PM.  There has been another new show added, at Bernie's, on Saturday, August 28th, for the Underground Fest .  We'll get you more details when we know, but it's two days long and should have a ton of bands, and a ton of  PBRs.

Recently, we played a last minute show, at High Five.  Despite, the on again off again sound, we had a lot of fun, even having our buddy John Price and and original member Lee Keeler,  sing and play guitar, respectively, on Kid Electric, the set closer.  It was a lot of fun to end it all, in the front row, instead of on stage, swinging the mic mock-Daltrey style,  sticking the mic in people's face for a bit of rock'n'roll karaoke, and alternately laughing and blowing off steam.  You should have seen it!

Well, as most of you know, due to a rain-out, the Columbus Clippers College Night show was moved to coincide with Dime-a-Dog Night.  And let me tell you, obesity is a large problem in our nation, and I think we contributed a solid $3 to the research of the affects of overeating!  The show was a lot of fun too...but it's not like we can watch that long fly ball leave the park, then trot around the bases, we're on the run.

We have quite a few shows coming up in the next month or two.  First, we'll be debuting a few new songs this Friday, July 16th, at Cafe Bourbon Street.  We'll even be playing with Mike Wilson's other band, the Bog Trodders, so it should be a drunken good time.  Next, we'll be opening for Lookout Records' Black Cat Music and locals Eric Wrong & the Do Rights, at Club 202, on August 11th.  Followed by, another opening slot, this time for Disaster Records' very own Darlington, and friendly rivals: Rookie.  This time at the Scarlet & Grey Cafe, on August 25th.

These shows should be a lot of fun, so come and check them out, we'd love to see you.  Keep checking back, or ask us at the show, for info on our upcoming album, which should be completed and released before the end of the year.  Nag us all you like, it keeps us on track!

It's been a year since our last update!  I can't believe it's been that long!

Well, to celebrate our new lineup, and our triumphant return, we've booked a few shows.  The only one I can give you concrete details on, at the moment, is our first foray into the wonderful world of minor league baseball.  Our local Triple-A baseball team, the Columbus Clippers, top affiliate for the New York Yankees, have asked us to play their home ballpark, Cooper Stadium.

With thoughts of Crash Davis' Durham Bulls in our head, we will be playing college night on Friday, May 21st at 6PM.  Our set will last one hour and will consist of some new songs, some old songs and even a secret cover up our sleeves. It's only $5 ($3 with a college ID) and you can stay for the game.   If that's not enticing enough, it's supposedly dollar and a ha;f draft night, so come on out have a drink while you enjoy the rock'n'roll!

If you need anymore details, follow the links on our shows page.
