Have you ever seen Ferris Beuller's Day Off? Twist & Shout, that
was my first exposure to music, at least that I remember (I'm still trying to repress the
faint memories of disco balls inside my mother's womb). I've gone through my phases...
wide eyed teen diggin' dad's classic wax, high school punk rocker, brit pop anglophile and
recently a musical schizophrenic having a hard time trying decide what to listen to. One
day I realized that if I couldn't find music I wanted to listen to, then I should just be
myself and make music... another helpless obsession, this one leaving me hearing harmonies
in my head. When I'm not making music, I find myself intrigued by the alternating whimsy
and cynicism of Superdrag, the fidgety rhythms of the Get Up Kids and the lyrical word
play of Jack Kerouac. I also enjoy reading, watching movies and digging the mad world that
refuses to wait for me to stop playing my guitar.
